TAN TROUBLESHOOTING:
LITTLE TO NO COLOR DEVELOPED

A spray tan is a chemical reaction that occurs within the outer layer of the skin. The active tanning ingredient, DHA, interacts with amino acids to create a browning effect. When your skins pH is affected, the result of your tan is affected. Here are a few reasons why your tan might not develop as dark as you would like it to be👇🏼

HORMONES/MEDICATIONS: Hormonal changes (period, pregnancy, breastfeeding etc) have a major impact on your skin and can cause your tan to develop lighter than usual or even not at all. This also applies with certain medications. In this case, we suggest going a shade or two darker than usual or leaving your tan on a bit longer.

SHOWERING TOO CLOSE TO YOUR APPOINTMENT: Showering, exfoliating, and shaving/waxing too close to your tan appointment alters your skin's pH and runs the risk of product residue staying on your skin preventing the solution from adhering and developing properly. Please follow our prep instructions for best results.

TIGHT CLOTHING: Putting on tight clothing (jeans, leggings, bras, sneakers/socks etc) immediately will rub off your fresh tan. Be sure to wear long, loose clothing + open toe sandals/flip flops while your tan is processing.
